Is “Logic” De-Railing Your Pursuit?

Scoop up some dirt and make a man. Genesis 2:7

Pull out his rib and make his wife. Genesis 2:22

Build a giant boat to save mankind. Genesis 6

Point your stick at the water and expect it to split so you can walk across the sea floor. Exodus 14

Walk around the city walls 7 times, yell at it and watch it fall. Joshua 6

Yes, that donkey is talking to you. Number 22:28

Pull out your slingshot, use those little stones and watch the man 4X your size crumble like a pile of bricks. 1 Samuel 17

Sleep in a den full of lions and watch none of them eat you. Daniel 6

Take some spit and dirt, chuck it into that mans eyes and watch his sight come back. John 9

Been bleeding for 12 years? Go touch that guys robe and you’ll be healed. Luke 8:43

Cure for the worlds sin problem, nail a man to a cross and watch him rise in three days. John 19

What is the common theme with all of these scenarios?  Yes that’s right. None of them make sense. The other common theme? They we’re all God’s idea, and they all worked.

They all resulted in someone being healed, people being set free, divine protection being provided and salvation to mankind.

Here’s my thought for today. Stop trying to make it make sense. God doesn’t make sense…to us.  God has it all in control, He knows where He wants you, but you need to trust Him that the path from point A to point B,C, or F might not make sense.

“Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, he must become foolish, so that he may become wise.

1 Corinthians 3:18

Don’t be afraid to trust what doesn’t make sense. Don’t be afraid to trust the plan that doesn’t make sense.

After all, what Glory would God get if you we’re able to say “I figured this out on my own”?
